There is no “us vs. them.” There is only ego, that separates us from each other and All that is.

We are connected to everything that ever has been, everything that is, and everything that ever will be — positive and negative. And this is true whether you look through a spiritual, philosophical, or scientific lens. Ultimately my greatest and most authentic power lies in how I am connected, not in how I am disconnected.

may look to the environment. See what GreenPeace (USA) is doing to help keep the earth green (we all know it’s not easy). There are many other organizations which try to help keep this planet alive. Take a look at them too.

On the political side, you may want to look into the Green Parties of north America. The statement by the California Greens sums up their philosophy, which I agree with. But politics in this country can never make the difference that is needed to fix the wrongs we have done. We need more of a ‘spiritual infusion’ upon this culture to begin to reconnect with Mother Earth.
Are you concerned about over-population? There is much talk about the “holding capacity” of the earth. Obviously, we can’t continue to double our population every few decades, but for some reason, we keep trying. We are the only species which can alter its environment to the point where we can artificially inflate our numbers beyond any natural limit. Check out what concerned scientists have to say.
